Ottawa has again received large amount of water in the past few days. After the flash flooding yesterday the river is rising today. We are beginning to see roads again be closed and high water across roadways, because of river flooding. At this time, Walnut St at Blanchard St and Second St at Maple St are both closed due to the high water. Please be careful traveling as there may be other spots with high water in the Ottawa area. “Turn around don’t drown.”
Forecasts from the National Weather Service are predicting more rain over the weekend so please pay special mind to the river level and flood prone areas this weekend and into next week.
